Find your chosen type of operating gear from the headings below, where we have given you tips on where the door can be fitted to your garage opening i.e. between or behind, what the side and headroom requirements are, and tips on what to look for when installing a framed door, or to an existing timber frame.

Double Doors
Ensure timber frame is a minimum of 70mm wide on the back face.
Can be supplied with an easy assembled steel frame kit for fitting on site. With jambs and head measuring 75mm.

Side-hinged doors
You need to decide if you are installing between or behind your blockwork opening.
Measure between the blockwork opening in width and then height in at least 3 different positions to ensure the opening is square.
Side-hinged doors are supplied with pre-fitted steel frames.

Check your measurements against the following chart to order the correct size of door. Please allow approximately 10mm on overall frame size if fitting between the opening.
