Fittings > Do I need an external release mechanism?
All garage doors that have remote control operators fitted can be operated manually in case of power failure or motor failure. However, in order to do this the door has to be released from the motor from within the garage. If you do not have secondary personal access in to your garage you will need to order an external release mechanism. Simply choose this option from your drop down menu and we will send the appropriate release mechanism for the door that you have ordered.
